Privacy Policy

How Peel handles your information, what leaves your device, and how to stop it.

The short version

Peel never asks for your name, your email or your address book, and never collects them.
It records how the game is played, such as scores and which screens you open, to work out what to improve.
Ads are shown by Google. If you allow it, an advertising identifier makes those ads more relevant. If you decline, you still see ads.
Two switches inside the game, under About, turn the statistics off and let you change your ad choices at any time.

Who is responsible

Peel is published by CUONG VUONG, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at cuongv88@gmail.com about anything on this page, including requests to see or delete your data.

What the game collects

Everything below is tied to a random identifier created when you install the game. It is not tied to you as a person, and it is discarded when you delete the app.

What the game never collects

Your name, email address, phone number or postal address.
Your contacts, photos, calendar, microphone or camera.
Your precise location. Ad targeting uses a rough area from your IP address, not GPS.
Payment details. Purchases go through Apple, and we never see your card.
Health, financial or biometric information of any kind.

Your choices, inside the game

Open About from the menu. Under Privacy you will find:

Share gameplay statistics turns the statistics off. It stops everything in the first three rows of the table above, including the automatic events Google's software would otherwise record by itself.
Ad privacy settings reopens the consent form so you can change or withdraw what you agreed to. It appears only where consent applies, which is the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Tracking for personalised ads is controlled by iOS rather than by us. You can change it at any time in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

Buying Remove ads stops every ad in the game permanently, and with it the advertising data in the table above.

Why we are allowed to do this

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the legal bases are these.

Your consent for personalised advertising and for the statistics. You give it through the consent form when you first open the game, and you can withdraw it at any time using the controls above. Withdrawing is as easy as consenting, and it takes effect immediately.
Performance of a contract for purchases and for restoring them, which Apple carries out on our behalf.
Legitimate interest in keeping the game working and free of fraud, which covers crash and performance information.

Who else is involved

Peel uses two Google services and some of Apple's. Each handles data under its own policy, and each may process it outside your country, including in the United States, under the transfer safeguards their policies describe.

Google, for analytics and advertising. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. The consent form lists the specific ad partners who may receive data.
Apple, for purchases, for Game Center leaderboards if you sign in, and for the App Store. See the Apple Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

How long it is kept

Statistics are retained by Google Analytics for Firebase for up to fourteen months, after which they are deleted automatically. Advertising data follows Google's own retention schedule. Anything held only on your device, such as your best scores, disappears when you delete the game.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland you have the right to see what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it is used, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to cuongv88@gmail.com and we will answer within one month.

You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority if you think we have got this wrong.

Children

Peel is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here before it takes effect.
